Electronic visa to enter the Kaliningrad region

We are happy to inform you that from July 1, 2019 may nationals of
53 foreign states, including Norway obtain a single-entry business, humanitarian or tourist visa to enter the Kaliningrad region in Russia by submitting the electronic visa application form on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
 the Russian Federation 
(http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru/index_en.html ). 

Electronic visa is free of charge.

Submit the application form no later than 4 days before the day of entry. 

Enclose a digital photo (an electronic file) to the application form.

No other documents are required.

Electronic visa is valid within 30 days after the day of issuing.

You may stay in the Kaliningrad region with an electronic visa for the period up to 8 days after the day of entry.


Electronic visa is valid for crossing the border of the Russian Federation in specified border-crossing points located on the territory of the Kaliningrad region.

Electronic visa is valid only for travel and stay in the Kaliningrad region. It is not valid for transit to and from other parts of the Russian Federation, including
 non-stop transit through airports.

Transport companies may check whether a foreign citizen has a valid electronic visa using the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (http://evisacheck.kdmid.ru). Information about the check procedure is available on the mentioned website.
