Teimuraz Otarovich RAMISHVILI

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Norway 

Born in 1955. In 1979 graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University). In 1981 joined the diplomatic service.

Held various diplomatic posts in the central office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at different foreign missions.

1992-2000 – Director of the Department for Humanitarian Cooperation and Human Rights of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

2000-2005 – Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Korea;

2005-2007 – Ambassador at large, Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

2007-2012 – Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Denmark;

2012-2016 – Director of the Department of Linguistic Support of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

Since November 2016 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Norway;

Has a diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

Languages: English, Spanish.

Married, has an adult son.
